A lot of similar companies choose to limit their cost by using cheaper blanks. L'{} deliberately chooses to invest in local businesses as much as possible. That means that the base cost of most l'{} shirts is often twice, thrice or quadruple the cost paid by "similar" projects.
L'{} also focuses on slowly made small productions. Almost every item is unique and created by a combination of techniques and medias. It isn't rare for a shirt to take multiple days to create. Every item can require focused work for many hours.
The prices of my shirts rarely reflect the real amount of time invested. L'{} wants her creation to remain accessible. L'{} is not interested in selfpromotion and created an inflated sense of coolness around her person or brand which would make prices easier to understand for most. But there is a limit to not paying oneself!
So, that's why my prices are what they are.
